Clay's Park Resort welcomes you to the Frightful Forest every Friday & Saturday in October. Clay’s Park Resort has always been known for its legends.
As a seasonal campground, our overnight and seasonal campers call us their home for a least part or all of our camping season which extends from May 1st through November 1st.

Ask any of the staff members and they will tell you once our campers start leaving and then when the last have finally gone, things get pretty darn quiet. They tell us they wouldn’t be caught dead after dark in the massive woods that grace our 500 acres.

Goblins is what Julie speaks about, that’s a term that she uses to describe what she calls a camper from years past that continues to haunt the park.
Other staff members say they won’t venture out during the off season in the dark, because they’ve heard things, pleading sounds and the wails of a baby needing comforted.
These are just a few of the of the legends that Clay’s Marketing Director, Margie Centrone decided had to be included in The Frightful Forest production.

There will be a variety of Halloween type vignettes, which will be presented along a half mile trail in the wooded area of Clay's Park Resort, 13190 Patterson Road NW, North Lawrence, Ohio, every weekend in October.
There will be those that include the local legends so often told here at Clay’s and others that will deal with Halloween Classics such as the Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. All performances will be improvisational scenes of terror or horror. The Clay's Park Teen Club works with our supervisors to create a quality production from start to finish.
Admission is $12 per person and credit cards will be accepted. Our gate opens at 7:30 with the first group to enter the trail at 8pm. The last group will be taken at 10:30 each evening of the production. The Frightful Forest is not recommended for young or easily frightened children.
