MASK POLICY

7/23/2020

Per the State of Ohio, effective at 6pm on 7/23, a statewide mask mandate will go into effect for citizens living in all 88 Ohio counties. All individuals in Ohio must wear facial coverings in public at all times when:

  • At an indoor location that is not a residence
  • Outdoors, but unable to maintain six-foot social distance from people who are not household members
  • Waiting for, riding, driving, or operating public transportation, such as a taxi, a car service, or a private car used for ride-sharing.

The order only requires those 10 years old or older to wear a mask. Additional exclusions include:

  • Those with a medical condition or a disability or those communicating with someone with a disability;
  • Those who are actively exercising or playing sports;
  • Those who are officiants at religious services;
  • Those who are actively involved in public safety; or
  • Those who are seated and actively eating or drinking.

What does this mean for Clay’s Park Resort?

ADVENTURE WATER PARK

– Groups (Families) may gather and sit together on the beach (no more than 10 people per group).

– Groups must maintain six-foot social distance from the other groups around them

– Groups are not required to wear a mask when they are at their seating areas.

– Guests are not required to wear a mask while they are in the swimming lake, on the attractions or in boats.

Masks are not required when guests are waiting in line to play on attractions (Wibit Inflatables, Ziplines, Wet Willies or Barrel Roll).  We do require anyone standing in lines to maintain six-foot social distancing.

Children under the age of 10 are not required to wear a mask at any time.

Masks must be worn at all times for the following:

  • Waiting in line for food and beverage service if six-foot social distancing is not possible.
  • Entering the Beach House to use the restrooms, visit the Sunshine Shop or visit the First Aid Station.

Additionally, there are new, limited capacities permitted on the Wibit Inflatables and Barrel Roll as mandated by the Stark County Health Department. We have roped off access to the deep end and are now controlling the number of people who enter the lake to play on these amenities at any given time.

Beach Chairs are permitted along the shore in the shallow areas, but they must be kept six feet away from other parties.

CAMPING AND RESORT GROUNDS

As your campsite is considered an extension of your home, masks are not required to be worn while you are on your campsite with members of your own family household (no more than 10).

You must maintain a minimum of 6ft between individuals from other households and between other campsites.

Children under the age of 10 are not required to wear a mask at any time.

Masks must be worn at all times for the following:

  • Inside any building/facility at Clay’s Park Resort including the Country Store, Corporate Office, Sunshine Shop, Beach House, 93 Gate, John O’s Restaurant and Bar (unless seated and actively eating or drinking) etc.
  • Outdoors, but unable to maintain six-foot social distance from people who are not household members

VIOLATIONS

For the safety of our staff and guests, violation of this policy may result in your removal from the park without a refund.

We thank you for your support, and we will continue to update our valued guests as we work through these challenging times.

We hope you all are staying safe and remaining positive!
